I'd like to make fake sunlight by setting up a speedlight outside the window, spilling in through the blinds. Which gel, from my rosco pack should I use, and do I need to set my cameras WB to any particular kelvin setting? Please advise! Thanks

gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | May 30, 2014 16:11 | #2 The gel you pick depends on what you want the sunlight to look like. Do you want a late afternoon sunset glow? Is that going to be your primary light. It might help if you fully describe the photo you envision.

May 30, 2014 16:13 | #4 Your speedlite is already very close to mid day sunlight. If you want to lower the temperature, you'll want CTO gels (or 1/2 CTO, 1/4 CTO, etc) while leaving the camera's WB set to daylight.
