It has the potential to be a great photo. You can see the emotion in her eyes, but the crop is all wrong.

Traditionally speaking, yes. Sometimes artists choose to break the rules. I kinda like it.

Yes, but you need a strong understanding of the rules to break the rules, you don't break the rules just to break the rules, there is rules to break the rules ...
here it's very strange, even weird it's like the head is chopped and is rolling/sliding down from the shoulder ...

This is breaking the rules in a bad way. Why chop her head in 1/2 with a part of her elbow/arm popping out of the frame. The negative space isn't contributing to the photo in any way.

It's a good photo, but it would be stronger if you could see the whole subject.

This looks like a mistake that's trying to be saved. If it were mine, I'd go for a much tighter crop in an attempt to make the bottom edge, awkward as it is, look intentional. The background doesn't contribute to the image.

As crazy as this sounds he's got a point. I think the picture would be good if not for the crop. When the page first pulled up on my screen I actually refreshed it to make sure it wasn't a computer error :D

Here's what was said about Boudin, Degas, Cézanne, Guillaumin, Monet, Berthe Morisot, Pissarro, Renoir and Sisley ... (Impressionist artists)

"Although some people appreciated the new paintings, many did not. The critics and the public agreed the Impressionists couldn’t draw and their colors were considered vulgar. Their compositions were strange. Their short, slapdash brushstrokes made their paintings practically illegible. Why didn’t these artists take the time to finish their canvases, viewers wondered?"

I like it, but I would like it if you cropped it just to the right of her. I don't think the space on the right is doing anything for the image.

Agree about the crop, looks like only half the image loaded
