If I use this U.S.-based online service http://fineartamerica.com/ (external link) to sell, but I live in Canada, what federal taxes are applicable to the income generated by the sales?

Would the income be considered U.S. income so I would need to pay U.S. taxes?
Or would it be similar to me selling a photograph directly to someone in the U.S. and they pay me for the service, and I pay my Canadian taxes on the income?

I researched on their site and didn't find the answer. Thought maybe some one here might be able to guide me in the correct direction.

If anyone has any thoughts on the services offered by the site, I'd sure like to read those too. I like that the sales feature can be embedded on my website and on my photography facebook account. I also like how easy it is for potential clients to see the image and cost of ordering it in various formats.

Any cautionary comments?

Thanx in advance!
.

When done correctly, it can be a good place to sell. Also consider the new and upcoming Crated (external link) (in beta).

As to taxes, I do not possess knowledge so don't go by what I say. But as far as I know, U.S. income taxes are a burden of U.S. citizens and may not apply to you.

Why don't you sign up for a free account over there which will allow you to post in the forum. Ask your question there, you will get an answer.
