Heh, heh, thanks Bret. Methinks I got so enamored w/ the bg, I overlooked some obvious deficiencies. Trying to recoup. Wish I could say I planned those bg colors, but no, just lucked out. Shooting some more in the same spot w/ different settings but just haven't hit the right combo as yet. Keep plugging away. Thank you again for the encouragement.

No offense intended, but my favorite aspect of these shots is the background.
Your use of pine boughs is top of the class creative, Rog. The hummer captures are sweet, but the pine needle bokeh is sweeter still. Awesome.

Thank you for the kind words, Barry. Maybe that's where my skills lie-shots of pines.My wife used to complain way back when that I took too many pictures of flowers. Here I had a good thing going and didn't know it
