Spinner
A few days ago as dawn was breaking I decided to take a ride over toward my neighbors pasture in a search for fawns. Well as I crested the hill near his place what I heard made me think I was hearing things. The repeated cackle of a rooster pheasant. I heard it but could not yet see him due to a mist across the meadow. Finally he stepped out into a a soft ray of sunlight and to me it was like being a kid again back in the fifties on our farm.
The shooting was tough as the bird weaved slowly in and out of the shadows but here are a few of the results.
The first photo is as he made his initial appearance
