Thanks, Rog, especially since you don't shoot with a Canon!:)

'Course, maybe in your military service they let you play:)!

Actually, during that time I was shooting with a Pentax.

I had a friend who was shooting a Nikon who got a bullet right in the lens! Made me reluctant to use large aperture telephotos under such circumstances.

These days I don't shoot anything. Since the wife left, taking her Olympus four-thirds kit with her, all I have on the shelf is a Kodak Z1015 IS. And nature has slowed me down to the point where I don't go out hardly at all.

Of course, it's still fun to come here and pick on all of you guys. And I'm completely unbiased: black, white, or oriental; male or female; young or old...you're all grist for the mill!

I do the Canon tables as a way of saying thanks to Pekka for making all this possible. Besides, it keeps me off the streets and protects me from the twelve-year olds.

Well, I didn't realize your wife had left, sorry...

But as far as "Un-biased", I have a problem with Orks/Orcs...or was it just Tokien who dished that bias out to us...Enquiring Minds Want to Know!

Only you would worry about the proper spelling of the name of a mythological creature.

Tolkien spelled it "orc," a word he got from Old Latin orca, meaning ogre or monster.

The world of Warhammer 40,000 spells it "ork," for trademark purposes.

"Orc" appears to be the correct spelling, and my dictionary agrees.

However you spell it, they're not nice.
