My first attempt at capturing moving water. At my local Forest Preserve. C&C welcome.

i agree,the sun is to strong,also were u trying to get the dreamy water look or freeze the water,i think if u wanted the dreamy look u could have gone a bit more on shutter,but with that sun u would prob need a nd filter or something

If you could get a different angle maybe more to the right and use an ND filter. You might be able to get a slower shutter speed if you can shoot at ISO 50. Not sure if your camera can shoot at that ISO or not. But I would definitely recommend an ND filter.

Thanks guys. I think I'm definitely going back at a different time of day. Haven't used a ND filter, but will be researching some soon.

Although if you went back on an overcast day you might be able to get some spectacular shots without an ND filter...

yupyup ....OP when u will more than likely get blown out shots during the day try and shoot them in BW
