I currently have a 7D and a generic L bracket which happens to fit my camera perfectly. The problem I have is that I cannot find a shutter release cable that doesn't have the 90 degree kink to have the cable stick out of the front of the camera. As visible in the photo below, the L bracket blocks that cable from working. Does anyone know of a cable that doesn't have the 90 degree bend pointing out the front of the camera? I have looked around with no success. Ideally I am looking for a cable like this (external link) that can connect to my Yongnuo 602 radio triggers, but I would settle for a normal cable release as well.

Thank you.

I was looking for a cable release with a right angle, but to my displeasure, I got one that was straight instead!!!

I cant guarantee that you get a straight cable (since I complained), but it happened to me, and definitely exists.

i own the 7d and use a L bracket it has the cut out slot in front for the cable to pass though, this is just a thought you could use a dremel tool to cut a small square out for the cable to pass and i don't think it would heart any thing, and L bracket would still be as strong as to support your camera as well,
