Pileated Woodpecker Family

I found this bust Pileated woodpecker family today. I believe it's mom and dad with one youngster.
They kept feeding the smaller one with grubs dug out of the hollowed out Bald Cypress tree.
(7D, 100-400L,430EX II) Tarpon Springs, Florida.

What a great find, I can't believe all you guys finding these nests with baby pileated woodpeckers! Excellent shots too....what a BIG baby!

Maybe they have all decided to turn over a new leaf and not be so reclusive.

Why not join the Pileated family party Rick....and in a big way!
Had to be neat to witness these goings on and to capture 3 Pileateds in the same frame is fantastic. The parents must be good ones as the little one looks quite healthy. Way to go!
