Yard sale season is coming into full swing, and I'm getting really tempted to pick up a 120 film system to play with. I've been really torn between focusing my search on a Pentax 645 variant body and lenses, or a Hasselblad 500 something.
But one thing I haven't seen a really reliable answer on is how the 645 lenses are for backwards/forwards compatibility. It is my understanding that the newer bodies are backwards compatible with older lenses, but can I take a new 645 lens that was designed for the 645D or Z and still use it with an older film body without excessive headaches?
I honestly think that the Hasselblads look like more fun to use simply because of how different their work flow and feel would be from my dSLRs, but the dropping price in Pentax's digital 645 series would make them exceptionally attractive if I could easily share lenses between the film and digital bodies without issue.
