Do you think it possible to selectively blur the background a bit more (using Gaussian Blur). It's a little tricky to do well in PS but would throw more attention onto the subject.

To be completely honest I didn't think about blurring the background. this was taken around the kitchen table with all of her cousin's waiting for her birthday cake and I kind of wanted to keep it in that context. but, please feel free to edit.. (it kind of disappoints me that I don't get more edits on my work).. If somebody can PP better than I wanna see... Okay. Well here's what I was kinda talking about. It's only a quick 10min job (the selection is hard to do), but you can see what I mean. If the context of the background is important to you, obviously leave it. But I like how the subject stands out
