I like the second one. I would like to play with the first one in PS and repost.

This is what I came up with, there's a little bit more color.

I agree about the first shot, I really like where you are going but the pink cheeks just aren't doing it for me. I did a similar picture the other day, but used B/W for everything but the glasses.

Two great shots and well worth printing. I really like the second one. Do you think it possible to selectively blur the background a bit more (using Gaussian Blur). It's a little tricky to do well in PS but would throw more attention onto the subject.

Keep up the good work, I like your style of photography.

thanks... it's funny to think that I even have a 'style' let alone that sombody likes it.:D :D To be completely honest I didn't think about blurring the background. this was taken around the kitchen table with all of her cousin's waiting for her birthday cake and I kind of wanted to keep it in that context. but, please feel free to edit.. (it kind of disappoints me that I don't get more edits on my work).. If somebody can PP better than I wanna see...:D :D :D

You shouldn't need to ask. People need to print more photos instead of leaving them on their computers.

Okay. Well here's what I was kinda talking about. It's only a quick 10min job (the selection is hard to do), but you can see what I mean. If the context of the background is important to you, obviously leave it. But I like how the subject stands out:)
