Here is my first sunset with my 10D. It includes the lighthouse from the Chautauqua Institution in western NY.

It said there are no right and wrong settings. It recommended, as is always the case, taking many bracketed shots at various times and said you may be surprised which one comes out best. Each shot reveals different highlights. Here you brought out the sun, sky, and reflections on the water leaving the land as a silhouette. Looks good. This is an instance I wonder what a graduated neutral density filter would do?
