I've been working on setting up my PRO-100, while I am happy with some prints, others I am not. I had one where some of the bluebonnets came out more purple. I am manually selecting the profiles when I print from CS6, I also get the same output in LR and the Canon print util.

I am printing on Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II (using this for testing). I am using the latest drivers off Canons site for my printer. I've messed around with a lot of settings here and there, and will be resetting them back.

Is there anything I should check out? My monitor is only calibrated to the grey scale image (which should only be brightness and contrast, so no real color calibration).

Thanks ahead of time.

Ed.
A good start is summed up nicely by your last sentence.
Start by purchasing a Spyder or other color calibration device.
Last year I purchased a Pixma Pro-10 and the Spyder 4 PRO.
With Canon Pro Luster paper and profiles, my first print was spot on.
You can grab a Spyder 4 Pro for about 170.00 with taxes etc.
A must for home printing.
The PRO-100 produces wonderful images. Print and enjoy.

That is something I've been debating about. Maybe next payday. Think I should also put some better lighting around my desk (something closer to 5500k) rather then the more yellow colored lights my apartment came with.
