I haven't really mastered this H-alpha stuff yet but the prominence (top right) is worthy of posting anyway. It's about 150,000km (12 Earth diameters) high. There are a few others and some surface filaments too.
It's a single RAW shot through a PST using a 70D and barlow in place of the eyepiece. ISO 100, 1/40sec.

I've also been playing with capturing video (MOV) directly in camera, rather than using the laptop to grab the liveview.
The files are substantially bigger but I don't see any issues with compression.
These are the 70D at prime focus of a 8" SCT (2000mm, f/10).

Nice work Steve, is there a web program that auto label the moon with those names or do you know them all by memory :)

Great images Steve and well processed. The Moon looks so smooth and soft!
