Dusky or Blue Grouse -

we are in Yellowstone and it never ceases to amaze me as to the diversity of wild life - these are a first for me enjoy- several people were discussing if these are Blue or Dusky - I guess there is some DNA research going on to determine the identity

Which ever it is, beautifully shot Marcy, especially number three, that's a great look.

Marcy, Blue Grouse was split in to two species, Dusky Grouse and Sooty Grouse, with Dusky Grouse in the Rockies and Sooty in the Pacific Ranges. Beautiful shots of the Dusky Grouse.

Great shots Marcy! I saw a couple Duskys at a trail head in Yellowstone a couple years ago and was surprised how close they let people get to them.
