Archways thread .... post your pics of archways

My subjects are normally the smaller kind and I usually lurk in the macro section but on a recent trip to Cyprus I took these shots, the first one was taken on top of Limassol Castle.
and the second was at Sacred Amathous archaeological site just out side Limassol and is a 5 shot pano.

Let's see whether we can make this an Archway thread. The following photos are from a unique archaeological site, the Pyramid at Helinikon in Greece (in Argolis, near the city of Argos). There are differing opinions about the age of the structure, possibly 2000-2500 BC.

Liking the first one.

Being a civil engineer, I find the arch a fascinating structural element. When you see structures circa 2000 BC utilizing the concept, it is awe inspiring!

Mark, I love the 3d photo from Central Park. I 've shot the same fountain, but framing it with the arch is inspired!

Thanks, Gerry. I just wish the dude with the dog would have moved on, but he seemed determined to homestead there.

The second set is Glastonbury Abbey in the UK and the third is The Mission at San Juan Capistrano.

And as an interesting coincidence, one of my favorite restaurants in NYC is a Greek place called Molyvos. I like your views of the oceanfront through the arched portals.
