Interesting results. Rankings:

1. Panasonic GH4
2. Sony A6000
3. Olympus E-M1
4. Fuji X-T1

The Fuji was a clear fourth. Others seemed bunched tightly.

He also shot the Nikon D4S as a comparison. He clearly says it is still the best of the best, but that unless you are willing to shell out that kind of the cash the mirrorless offerings are up to the task. I really wish he would've done some testing to bear that out. I'd still put my money on a 7D + 70-200/4 vs any of the mirrorless offerings.

That was interesting to watch, thanks. I didn't realise how much the mirrorless crop had caught up towards the top end SLRs.

The GH4 Af looks really good. I will look forward to the reviews and see what the IQ is like.

Kinda makes the a6000 AF seem overhyped (although maybe it's hype is relevant when comparing it to other Sony cameras).

The panasonic GH4 has a particularly good AF system. The top three on this list would outperform a good number of DSLR's.

Actually since these utilize contrast detect AF systems or hybrid contrast/phase detect systems, they'll focus more accurately than a DSLR, at speeds that are as fast, if not faster, than most DSLR's i.e. no none of the calibration issues and the need for the MFA that people obsess over with DSLR's

How hilarious would it have been if they put an M into the mix. I'm a proud M owner but its not even in the same league as these in terms of AF.

Would've been a bunch of pics of the sky that the bikes had passed through several seconds before.

Owned the 7D and 70-200/2.8IS for 4 years, after using the Sony a6000 + 70-200/4 at a football match. The Sony package is much better than the 7D + 70-200.

And that's why I said I wished they had tested something other than the D4S. It would be nice to have a more universal point of reference in the DSLR world.

Despite assuming the 7D would win out, I'm not too surprised to hear that the A6000 + 70-200/4 is better than the 7D, but "much better" is a bit shocking. I'd be curious to hear more details on how you compare them.

Looking to get a A6000, seems like a good robust little camera for all around family outing.
