Hi all,

Our Bluebirds fledged their 2nd nest this weekend... a two-day process this time, but another 100% success for our precious family. Ben and Faith are "10 for 10" so far this season.
We'll be posting some documentation photos/videos of the event somewhere soon.

Meanwhile we have a few recent shots to share of some of our other birds around here...

Awesome set.

Thanks to all.

The little guy in the sixth photo is a baby Bluebird from the 1st-nest btw.
We're anxiously waiting to see if Faith will build a 3rd nest... She is still feeding the latest (2nd-nest) fledges in the trees and so far showing no intent.

The weather is mild, even cool... but we put the sun-shields on the nestbox anyway.

Happy birding all,

Kenn

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thank you Ted, It can be difficult to tell the gender of Cardinal babies... but I believe you're right about this one being male. And btw, this is a Cardinal family with Father, Mother, Son being images 1,2,3 above.

Thanks itw,
These were taken with the SX40 which has a 840mm (EFL) zoom lens, and the SX50 which has a 1200mm (EFL) zoom lens. Temple and I shoot them interchangeably, and mostly at the long end of their reach.

Thanks again to all for looking.

Kenn
