My brand new 5D3 had over 500 actuations
Where did you purchase it from? This seems very strange.

finally upgraded my trusty, old G2 with a refurb'd G12 from canon - just this past week. couldn't resist the price - not to mention live-view & a real lcd.

After speaking with a supervisor they admitted it was too much. They also told me to call, and ask for a supervisor if I must, but they can get an accurate shutter count of the refurb they send you before it ever leaves. Diane was the supervisors name and she explained it was possible. Canon 6D, 24-105 L, 70-200 L f/4 IS
