Joayne…your topics are becoming a little dangerous!

Picture this scene….There I was walking along the main street in our town, camera at hand and eyes searching as usual for photographic subjects. This time, of course, my eyes are cast down, trying to imagine how an ant would be experiencing life in this part of town. Not an easy transition…from my six foot plus frame to an eye only a millimetre or so above the pavement, so after pondering this for some time I decided that the only way of gaining any authentic insight to life according to ants was to get down and dirty and see for myself.

So casting caution to the wind, and solely in the pursuit of genuine research, I lay down on my back on the sidewalk. From the ensuing fuss I suspect that my mistake was in pointing the camera upwards to, as I told the policeman, obtain an “ant’s-eye” perspective. It seems that, even in winter, people are suspicious of those who may be “taking liberties” and “invading their privacy”! Absolutely the last thing on my mind, I assure you! Really! I’m sure the Judge will understand…

Actually, I jest! It was just a scenario that crossed my mind in a moment of frivolity. Now, I need to leave my Walter Mitty dreams behind and get back to work!

Too funny Ricardo :)
Once again, however..
This was OldCrows idea!
I just put it into action...

.. and please people, don't be lying down on the sidewalk in public places
We would need to take up a collection to get anyone out of jail!

A daring ant, let's call her Scout, sees this as she approaches the fabled French Fry Forest. The undergrowth is breadcrumbs. Scout has found enough food to get her colony through the winter!

Nice photos everyone.

French fries on the ground, what a waste OhLook.

Didn't mean for this topic to become so "dangerous" Richard.

I know. They were under a street tree in a business district. Some people think they can drop their trash anywhere!
