Enjoying capturing some young falcons taking to the skies. Came face-to-face on one occasion. Glorious creatures.

Thanks all for kind words. Incredibly fast birds. Readily admit to lots of missed shots but that makes these that much more fun. Still working on the workings of the new 5D Mark III but like it so far....usually operator error when things go south.

Still in search of that mid-air food exchange between parent and child....oh I can only hope! Keep hope alive.

Definitely awe inspiring birds Patrick and a great job you did capturing them on the wing.
Your en face image is a difficult image to get right, but your AF treated you right on that one. Your 2nd image shows gorgeous feather pattern detail. Although difficult with a bird above you, the only thing that could make the 2nd one better would be a catch light in the eye.
