I was trying to do things a little differently here and one of the changes I had made was to use a tungsten hotlight (battery powered) rather than my 600ex-rt's. It definitely has an interesting - kind of old hollywood - look and I'm considering using similar lights a bit more. I'm far from perfect in my use of it here however.
In fact, I'm considering moving much more toward continuous lighting in general. Sharing light sources for both photography and video work being a major reason why, but just seeing and directing the light before shooting is great for run and gun shoots in busy areas.
The one thing I wish I did on the day was get more rim light happening. Some of the images unfortunately come out fairly flat looking. It would have been difficult in that environment but worth it.
