I really just need a printer to print photos from my iPhone. I previously had a $99 Epson and it printed nicely from my iPhone but it died after less than a year. Any suggestions for something reliable that I can just quickly print snapshots from my phone? I'm thinking a couple hundred bucks max. I know I could print somewhere else but I like the convenience of printing from home.

When you say "snapshots" are you talking about 4x6 prints? There are small printers that will do decent 4x6 prints. To print larger, say up to letter-size (8.5x11), well, there are plenty available, and a lot for a decent price (within your $200 budget) but I haven't checked things out in recent years and can't point to a name/model, except that both Canon and Epson have good reputations.

Ah, well, that does simplify your "quest", as long as you do realize you won't be able to use it to print anything larger, a document, a 5x7, an 8x10, whatever!

I'd use a lab, honestly. Just about any mini lab will do a good job.

Heck, for 4x6 and 5x7 prints, I consider them "coffee table" prints, heck, 8x10s as well, and a quick stop at a local shop to me gives pretty good results for them! A nearby Costco even better than your local Walgreen's!

You were extremely unlucky with your Epson. My Epson R2880 is ultra reliable and consistent. Its more than you need by a big margin so I'm not suggesting that's what you get, but anything from Epson or Canon will do the job.
