These are heavy, heavy crops...the eagles were at least 200 yards away, and all I could do was hope they'd move closer, but they didn't :p . I had to keep shooting though...this guy wasn't happy with just one fish..I think he ended up with 3, and ate one while a crow sat close by, hopefully.

Dan, Ian was shooting the eagle not the fish??. Lol.

Ian's philosophy is "don't walk and carry a big lens" lol. And he's dam good at it.!!

Thanks Jeff. It's just that whatever I shoot tends to be far away or in the middle of a river! Here's a full frame sample of one of the closer shots today....this was at 1000 mm. This was right at low tide, hence all the gravel bars. At high tide I'm boating right across all that.

Awesome Ian, you make it look easy, I was just poking fun because I'm green with envy of your hardwear. I did sell my wife's car but now I live in the dog house. And it needs decorating bad!!
