I own both and think I may have mixed them up. I am a trip on the OR coast and only brought one which I was thought was the Lee but I'm getting a blue cast similar to the Hitech.

So my question is does the Lee Big Stopper have a foam gasket around the edge?

Yes the Big Stopper has a foam gasket. However, I recently bought one from B&H and it came delivered without the foam gasket. I promptly sent it back for a new one, which was delivered with the foam.

Good, so I brought the right filter with me on the trip. Just don't remember there being such a blue color cast with that filter. I'll check my WB settings, maybe I had them screwed up.

Thanks for the response,

Er, I believe the new Hitech 10-stoppers also have a gasket.

My Lee Big Stopper also has a blue cast. I bought a Haida 10 stop ND and it has little or no color cast, the Big Stopper is gathering dust now in the back-up role.

That is correct -- I own a Hitech, and it has a gasket.

I have Big Stopper and i think that it has that blue cast, but i just received Haida and i would like to test that sooner or later.

I have a 77mm B+W 1000x filter, it is high quality and no color cast.

I use a Big Stopper and there is a blue cast. It's an easy fix in lightroom.

Yes, i never worry about that blue cast, in fact sometimes it gives me great results with blue sea and or sky under long exposure.
