Mono Lake at Sunset

Drove to Yosemite to capture the Upper Yosemite Moonbow, but the water just looked too low to do anything (don't know if it did or didn't), so decided to take a trip to Mono Lake to capture the moon there.

Never had been there before so everything was new and it was definitely a spectacular place. While I got some moonshots (none that I felt were worth), this actually ended up being my favorite photo.

Nice image but you've got bit of banding in the sky and and dust spot to take care of :-)

Yeah it's been fixed since then, didn't want to delete and re-add it on Flickr /lazy

You don't have to delete it. Just choose "replace picture" and upload the edited photo instead of the old one.

Nice image of Mono. Such a special place. Microbial life found there is unlike any other on earth. And that lake has no natural outlet (sadly, it has a man-made one). Just an amazing place to visit.
