Does any have any experience with this extended warranty? I was thinking about adding it to my camera that I may purchase.

I thought about getting one on a couple of lenses but in the end decided not to.

Its a matter of preference as to weather one wants to purchase it or not but I did on my XT body from Norman Camera _ kinda cheap insurance and helps to resell value.

Circuit City does have a damage warranty for about 90.00, but the camera costs a lot more there. Its my understanding you can pay a $15 transfer fee with Mack. Its listed on their website in the warranty descriptions.

vlherring Hatchling 4 posts Joined Feb 2005 Location: Des Moines, Iowa More info | I just bought a Canon EF 24-105 lens for over $1100 and wonder if I can get a warranty on just that? I have a warranty already on my 20D but at the price of the lens, having something for that as well seems smart. Also, it would be best to have it cover damage from dropping or whatever [not my intent, but I'm going to be traveling and want to be ready for all contingencies] - any suggestions? Victoria L. But not because I would want 3 years warranty, but because I bought lens in USA. Canon has USA warranty and International warranty (which you can't get in USA), and USA warranty is not valid in Europe. So Mack is only warranty I have on this lens, unless if I want to send lens to USA. But I do hope I will never need it PhotoSI

Yep! vlherring wrote: I just bought a Canon EF 24-105 lens for over $1100 and wonder if I can get a warranty on just that?...any suggestions? I bought my lenses from B&H and my Mack warranties from Adorama (because they were cheaper there). One has 30 days to buy the Mack warranty and regustering online is a snap.

The first time I bought a lens from B&H I chose the "imported" version, thinking that a Canon USA warranty (1 year) would be useless to me. The next purchase, I clicked on the "USA" link and found that "USA" items come with a worldwide warranty. The price difference wasn't much, so I went for it. Sure enough, the warranty card is a true Canon international warranty - and it does include Slovenia. I guess a Mack warranty would still be useful for a longer period. I paid 190 for the year for renter's insurance and all my equipment is covered against everything (theft, fire, dropping it in toilet, etc.) except for flood and earthquake. I called geico and they were the ones that set me up with it, although I believe it is through "American Banker's" Architecture
