I spotted this fellow a few months back. Its a rare phenotype and the guy came today. Pics were taken with my Bigmos and Canon 6D.

Well his black feathers are like any other common grackle, with a bit of iridescence, the white ones are just white, kind of flat looking.

Wow very interesting color pattern on the bird. He looks like someone spray painted him! LOL It is very interesting to see. I wonder what the offspring will like if the other parent is a normal colored grackle? I wonder if this is a recessive or dominant gene or genes that control the expression of that color pattern?
