Has anybody tried a 2X tele converter (the Canon AF type) on a 75-300mm lens? What are the disadvantages? Or opinions anyways?

It won't work with a few lenses I've tried it on, including Sigma lenses. Like the Canon teleconvters,. the Sigma EX converters were desighned to work with specific lenses in the Sigma EX Series. IF it will work with any other lenses would be pure luck. GEAR LIST

The 2x does work with the 100-400 though. "Save the model, Save the camera, The Photographer can be repaired"
