Gonna try something new here. This is a 3-image edit to be stitched, merged, edited, however you want to make it work.

The game will last 1 week and whoever can produce the best edited image (as judged by me) will be picked as the winner, and it'll be their turn to post their unedited picture for all of us to take a crack at.

The participants must have their "Image Editing OK" turned on and they must provide at least a simple breakdown of how they edited the image, some entrants are a little vague on this point - please give us all details so we can learn and share tips. For instance if you use the Unsharp Mask tool or Smart Sharpen, provide us with the adjustments you used so others can try them out.

You can post multiple images, but the first image you post will be the one that is judged - all other images will be considered for knowledge and tip use only. Feel free to comment and/or ask questions at any time. This is a good competition for learning new methods, so let's make it a bit more dynamic. I will be judging edits, not comments.

If you happen to be the winner of the game please start the next one with the title of the game and the following number. For example…the next game should read "Before & After #525".

Submissions end, Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Noon (CST) and a winner will be announced.

3 RAW images as 1 sample.

Doesn't seem to be generating any interest. Hmmm.

Whhheeew lol.

I thought this idea of a 3-photo edit would be a little more fun.....and challenging.
I just didn't want to scare people off to where there are 0 entries or maybe just only 1.

Did some basic RAW adjustments then off to PS CS6 Photomerge.
Cropped down some and started to have a play with those pesky power lines....and then said ...no way, I'm not messing with those!
So anyhow, I started throwing some layers together and used a blue channel mask for all of the masks shown in the screen shot, some inverted.
I'm still not happy with the sharpening method I used but didn't change it, so here we are!
Come on people, show us what you got!

Evening guys! Decided to give grungy/vintage a go this week!

I'm going away next week, so I'm just posting this for fun, not to win! I'm also not going to post a full breakdown of my process for the same reason, but I'll give you a brief (and messy!) idea of what I did.

Lots of quick adjustments in Lightroom (synced to all 3 shots), 'Photomerge' in PS, added birds with stock images and custom brushes (lots of 'blend if' and layer masks), converted to black and white with a black layer set to 'colour', lots of dodging and burning with curves layers and layer masks, added splodges of colour with radial gradients, added some graininess with 'add noise', played with the overall colour with LAB curves, and levels layers, and added some blur with 'field blur' before finishing up with a Selective Colour layer.

Bed time for me now... :p

Merged all three RAW images in PS, ran pseudo-HDR using SNS-HDR Lite, cloned out wires, cropped to square, add slight vignette.

Well, M_six did it, he tackled those wires, and did a great job at it too!

Solid effort by M_Six. I know what a pain those wires are and you did a fantastic edit here.
Great job!

You're up.

Thanks, guys. I've had a bit of practice removing wires. Can be a pain sometimes.

Good image to work with, Six. Actually turned out pretty nice.

Love the birds you added, Jack.

I'll have a new one up in a bit.
