Lightroom beta 2
is now out. you can finally crop and rotate images!! they have also added more metadata support and a few other things
Universal Mac binary, but no windows support, yet. i'll see if it's any more useable than beta 1.

Same thing happened here but didn't have to reboot, was able to just force quit. When I opened it back up, all 100+ images were ready to go.
