(2 edits in all) | Jun 20, 2014 14:27 | #26 After posting the above I went out to the harbour to see if I could shoot some birds there (a lot of House Sparrows and Swallows as well as Swifts breed in some of the old buildings there). Anyway, there was a sudden down pour and I fled in some roofed space between houses when I saw this. Seems to me it's out of place in more than one way. After the rain had stopped and passing this scene, I realised that although I'm used to seeing it, it is rather odd to have this jungle kind of structure smack in the middle of an Amsterdam canal.
