Canon is updating the Digital Photo Professional software.
A user's manual for the new version can be found here (external link).

And apparently, these are the only cameras it supports:

I guess there's a good reason why I've stuck with an older version of DPP:)!

and from the looks of that chart only 64 bit Windows.

Curious.

I wonder what purpose there is in deprecating support for other bodies? They are only going to need to keep adding to the list as they release the next line of X0d and Rebel bodies (XX0d).

Or is it perhaps poor or incomplete documentation?

Just to emphasise Navydoc's and David's point - it only supports the 5D Mk III, 6D, 1D-x and 1D-c, for some bizarre reason.

It's not just a documentation thing. I've just tried to deal with some 70D files in DPP 4.0, and it's no-go.

So you did find a download, or how did you get hold of 4.0? I've only seen the manual so far.

It's on the Canon Hong Kong site, Anders.

It takes some finding, and I had to lie and say I owned a 1D-x before I could get to it (perversely, it asked for the camera serial number - and accepted my 70D's!), but it's on there.

Can't talk now. I have to run out to the store to buy a 1DX. This is the deal maker for which I have been waiting.

They are only going to need to keep adding to the list as they release the next line of X0d and Rebel bodies (XX0d).

No más problemo. The peons stay with DPP 3.x.x.x.x

It was with a pleased smile on my face I entered the serial number I read from the bottom plate of my 1DX.

And I don't say this at all to annoy anyone, but just as information. ;)

Thank you for the link, Keith. I found both DPP 4.0 and EU 3.0.

I noticed that this program doesn't uninstall DPP 3.x. It also installs both EU 2 and EU 3, in a way to maintain compatibility with older/simpler cameras.

It is new installation, and DPP 3xxx stay on comp. That a pity that is no support raw from my 5D1.

So, to confirm, if I have version 3.14.15.0 installed, when I install this new version 4, it will leave the previous installation intact and working?

Second, what is EU 2 and EU 3? EOS Utilty? What if this is already installed?

Yes - earlier versions of DPP are left alone.

Can't comment on EU (yep, EOS Utility) though, as I don't use it.
