I mentioned this on the weekend at Scotts, coming up on Sunday 26th of March the company I work for is having a big golf Tournament with Sponsors, customers, family companies etc.

I have offered to be the events formal photographer, and so I don't have to use my little A80 have aquired $200 to borrow some gear.

I would like to borrow, please, if anyone trusts me and would like a little extra cash:
1x 20D
1X Flash
1x Nifty 50
1x Wide angle, maybe a 10-22 (tony?) or a kit lens?
1x Telephoto, maybe up to 200mm?
1x Sundrys, batteries, CF cards to match the 20D, XS Drive, Tripod etc?
I would also of course need a bag to keep it all safe in.

So far John has offered to lend me his 20D, and lens which are I think the 28-135 and 80-200.
And Matt has also offered me his 300D and a lens.

Havn't worked out who to devide up the $200, but Im sure we can all work out something.

And of course the terms will be very simple, if I break it I buy it.

Idealy I would like to collect all the gear together on the friday night so I can familiarise myself with it on Saturday, then return it on Sunday/Monday depending on when we finnish. So you will be with it for a whole weekend, but there should be enough cash to drink away the sorrow :)

Moppie, PM is not working. You can borrow my whole kit (20D, 24-70, nifty, porta-storage, Tripod, monopod, etc., etc.) -- and you can put my proceeds into a GKPE fund.

After using Tim's calibration thingy, it might be a good idea to buy one for us up in Auckland... the calibration has done wonders!

John;)

Let me know what you need.

GKPE motto "we dont buy we borrow"

I like the GKPE fund idea and a calibration kit would be useful

Actually that would make for a cool shot, picture this, a closeup of the golf ball on the ground with the players nicely out of focus in the background, angle of image would be ground level pointing up, so hard to do without a flip screen ;)

LOL!

I can see it now, I show up with $10,000 worth of other peoples kit, proceed to take several hundred photos with it, and the one really good one is the one I take with little A80 in the spur of the moment :)

Thanks for the insperation by the way, I might have to give it a go

My gear is always available to lend to friends here, as long as if it's broke, it gets repaired. :D

Unfortunately, on this date, for about 3 days, I'll be photographing AUT Graduation ceremony, and arranging portrait shots, and throwing of the hats etc.

All I can offer is my Jenova Camera bag for storage, if you need it, Moppie.
I think you may remember it's size.. I'll try find a decent pic online.

All the other flash camera bits and pieces, I'm sadly lacking. Unless you want to borrow the kit lens?
