Can the CL-200X Perform on a shoot in full sun with a wide angle reflector (Hubcap). My answer is yes, but you decide for your self's.

bartc, I'd love some info on these. What light/modifier are you using? Are you shooting in dark enough ambient light that you see no background?

Just going to chime in real quick but with proper light placement and enough power, you can make daylight look pitch black. No need for dark ambient.

this is the basic setup ...i have a huge lightbank i built powered by 4 strobes.. i use a black bg and then do some editing in post to end at final image.. i have alot of tweaks to make in the studio to fine tune everything only have had this spot since about feb.. and work a full time job so its taking longer then id like but getting there..

yes totally agree.. have turned mid day to evening many times with portraits

Nice rig—and avoids the expense of a Chimera F2. :) I'm really jealous of your space.

That's what I did here....looks like night but it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

thanks and exactly dont have that much cash to dump into one of those.. i did testing on my box and at most i was .2stops lower on the edges and consistent everywhere else.. its going under the knife next week getting enlarged to 12x24ft
