I have a Fluke 189 just like that, and I imagine it was a bit of a challenge to get the LCD like that.

I have a Fluke 189 just like that, and I imagine it was a bit of a challenge to get the LCD like that. By the way, what's your impression of the TS-E 135? I keep waiting for CPS to get it on their eval list so I can shoot with one. Thanks! Pitch-black shooting and 8sec did the trick exposure-wise. Only concern was the LCD having a nasty color cast versus strobe light, but it looks fine. The TS-E is going to be my workhorse for tabletop and portrait in the studio, but also outdoor scenics. With metal build and all the moving parts, the thing weighs a ton—heaviest 135/4 ever made! Optically, it's my most perfect lens (and I have some expensive glass), and the performance goes way outside the 24x36 frame. Bokeh gets a straight A which is icing on the cake. My full review is over on FM: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1521442 Canon, Nikon, Contax, Leica, Sony, Profoto.

I don't have them or require them but if you use a CT gel with them and adjust your camera to that CT gel, would it fix that color cast issue. This allows each frame to receive the fullest individual treatments (color balance, contrast, gradients, etc) and being assigned its fractional contribution to the final image. Gels shine for live subjects and dynamic situations. Canon, Nikon, Contax, Leica, Sony, Profoto.

I am aware of "ambient" balance outside the CT subject area. But in a controlled shoot seems like something to try...?? In this case the LCD is the readout panel so gelling for it would not be a realistic option for a single shot scenario - typically such images are composites UK based photographer specialising in equestrian but also doing things like Prom Photography
