Canon EF 50-200mm f/3.5-4.5L
I just purchased this lens a couple weeks ago. I looked for the lens here in the archive sub-forum, to see what other POTN members were using it. I was quite surprised when I saw that there was no thread for this lens. Imagine that - a Canon L series lens that nobody here seems to be using!
There is a thread for a very similar lens - a 50-200mm f3.5/4.5, but it is not an L series lens, and it has a different optical arrangement.

It would be great if others have this lens, and would be kind enough to contribute to this thread. I think that there is some "vintage" glass out there that, despite being old, can produce great images - and these oldies should get some attention!
In keeping with POTN tradition, I will start things off with the obligatory duck shot, in this case a heavily molting Mallard.
NOTE: Due to the POTN limit of 150KB, I had to push the quality of this image all the way down to "medium" - so the image you see here is compressed all to hell. Sorry about that - I wanted to show what the lens can do, but with the 150KB limit that might not be possible. If anyone would like to see more reasonable sample images, just email me, and I will be glad to send you some much higher quality files.
