Well the rental from Tempe Camera ran out at 6 pm yesterday...

but yesterday morning I took it out again, and went to the flower patch.
This second go around made me realize how lucky I was to get that close to the bee the first day.
They were much more lively and active in the morning--making getting close pretty tricky.

Do you guys shoot stuff like this in bursts? Because of the extremely shallow depth of field?

Side note: love the 100L ...the bokeh is so tasty from this lens!!

Here's a few from Day 2 of Shooting Macro.

Nice shots, indeed, esp. if new to macro and the lens.

thanks guys! I feel lucky to have caught these little guys with such a fine lens.

Unfortunately the lens had to go back, but the boss-lady liked the product shoot results and brought up the idea of renting it regularly.
So here's hoping for more in the future!

Lovely shots!

Regarding your question, personally, I use single shot and the "moving back and forth" system, taking the shot right before the eyes of the subject come into focus (takes a bit of practice, but I found out I get more keepers this way).
