Hey gang!

A conversation came up where someone was "complaining" about how this lens gets "soft" at f/2.8.

Well, I've seen that sure, a bit, although it is amazing at, say f/4. But my argument is that even an f/2.8 shot can be great, totally usable.

So I started looking at my f/2.8 shots and finding ones with good quality even at 100% crops. It was a bit of a challenge since I always shoot with this lens handheld or at most occasionally on a monopod.

But I thought it would be cool to post 100% crop photos from this lens, just to play with the nay-sayers:)!

So, here are a couple with my early work with the lens.

Thank you John. It was a quite an experience to see this active Dairy Farm up close and personal, amazing stuff. Those animals were only 10-12 weeks old.
