Jun 15, 2016 15:32 | #1498 Hello, I'm interested in this lens for an upcoming trip. Can someone offer some advice on who this performs at the 24,28,35mm ranges compared to the 24-105mm. Thanks in advance. 5DMIV|6D|G7X|S120: 35mm 2.0 IS | 50mm 1.4 Art | 24-105mm 4.0 L |100mm Macro 2.8 L | 16-35mm 4.0 L IS | 70-200mm 2.8 II L IS | Canon EF 12 II Extension Tube

Can someone offer some advice on who this performs at the 24,28,35mm ranges compared to the 24-105mm. Thanks in advance. I can't comment on the 24-105 as I've never had it, but the 16-35/4 seems sharper at wider FLs than the longer end. This was my finding with the 16-35II/2.8 as well— and at 35mm, it was terrible. This lens is much better across the board at ƒ4 than the II2.8 even at 5.6, maybe ƒ8. There is a lot of barrel distortion at the wide end. multidisciplinary visual guy, professor of visual art, irresponsible and salty.
