I too am buying the f/4 for Christmas, it will go well with my 1D4 .

I have managed to buy a mint condition second hand lens, so looking forward to getting to use it next month.

Thought it might be worth adding a 1200 x 1200 crop from the full image, showing the right side of the fern on the trunk and needles in front of the trunk.

Nice wish !! I did meet a woman in the redwoods a year ago, the day before Halloween, who had a fairy outfit with her.
