From yesterday's cross country event.

I decided to change out my normal 100-400 with a 16-35 as I was sick of same old compressed telephoto shots of jumpers. I wanted to get more landscape into the pictures. It meant getting closer than I wished but was well worth the effort. The look is very different from the normal telephoto jumper shot and in my mind getting the landscape into the shots helps give the viewer an understanding of what context the jumper is competing in....in this situation cross country . This lens is a cracker of a lens !!.....If I was only ever allowed 2 lens to an event it would be the 100-400 and this 16-35. Wouldnt be much I couldnt cover with this combo

I got to shoot some Behind The Scenes photos and video for a friend that was shooting a music video for a local band. This was my first time doing this type of thing. I had a lot of fun doing this. Definitely a different type of shooting.

I used the 16-35 for a lot of the day as I was also doing video. I was trying to capture a lot of what was going on. The first photo was a quick shot before they called action. The 2nd one was just me having fun with the setting and lights.
