They are in Manhattan. Brooklyn Bridge, 8th Avenue near Columbus Circle, and Hudson River Park.

A lot of great shots in this thread, I can't wait to try mine out! It's on the UPS truck right now being delivered and should be sitting at my house waiting for me by the time I get home from the gym tonight.

Canon EOS 6D | EF 16-35 f4 L IS | B+W ND1000

Beautiful shots.

Question for you: How do you like that B+W ND1000? I assume it's the screw-on variety. If so, does it give any kind of color cast you have to correct in post?
I'm thinking of switching from the Lee system to something easier to carry around.

Dean, the filter has a minimal warming effect (can be easily corrected if you shoot in RAW). The vignetting of the lens seems to be a bit enhanced on the photos, but I like this :)

It's screw-on type filter, made of brass. You must be careful not to cross thread it, as the new 16-35mm lens has plastic thread.

hey dean, haida makes a screw on ND's :D

Will probably vignette hard if you stack them.

I never stack anyway. I try to keep it simple.
So simple, in fact, that I've found myself not carrying the Lee rig around with me lately. A screw-on 10-stop ND would be nice to just throw in the bag, you know?

Just food for thought.

I had, and still have my screw in set, and yes, it was a whole lot simpler... but, I have 77mm filter threads, 82mm, 95mm, and 72mm, so it was kinda complicated.

I can probably do 99% of all landscape shots with 77mm (16-35+70-200)

80% of the time, I'll shoot filterless anyhow, so not sure how valuable this whole filter setup is..... I guess for that 20%......

I told myself I would give it a good year before I sold it, so I'll keep all my filters and just see how it plays out. I think I'm ok with square + solid ND's. GND's vs HDR's... still like HDR better.

Same here..I shoot filterless 90% of the time.
The other times, the Lee system seems a bit of a pain.
My landscape lenses (16-35 and 24-105 are both 77mm). I suppose the 70-200 (67mm) could use its own ND, but I don't think I have ever done ND at 70-200...
So yeah, I could get by with a screw-on, very likely.

I've been using LR's GND tool with a lot of success. Haven't had to use a GND on-camera in quite a few months.

Speaking of...
