Great examples! Could you please do some 16mm @ f8 or f11, in original image size when you get a chance?
I'll try to get a decent photo tomorrow night. I have one on hand now, but I think it's one of the ugliest pictures I have ever taken

mystik610 Cream of the Crop ![]() More info | Jun 24, 2014 22:52 | #34 Looking back at some photos I took last night to test the IS out....mostly at 1/2 a second. The first batch of photos were garbage as I was carelessly putting a bit too much confidence in the IS. As I went along I started to more actively try to steady myself and control my breathing as I went along as was able to more consistently nail shots at 1/2 a second. There's definitely a technique involved and probably a learning curve, but handheld 1/2 and possibly even 1 second exposures are doable on this lens. ![]() ![]() ![]() focalpointsphoto.com

StudioAbe BAAAAAAN!!! ![]() More info | I did a quick comparison with 16-35L II and this lens. Below is the one taken by f/4L IS 1/8sec f/8 @ ISO100. I had the 5DIII mounted on tripod and took comparison shots at f/4 and at f/8. IS works beautifully. 1/6 sec f/4, handheld. No camera shake present.

StudioAbe BAAAAAAN!!! ![]() More info | SOOC pics. Barrel distortion @ 16mm. Straightforward barrel distortion; no big deal these days thanks to lens correction profiles and various methods in pp to correct it. The flarelike thingies on the facade are reflections being cast from the windows behind me.
