NDs are not needed for sunsets unless you want to obtain specific effects with moving elements i.e. cloulds/water. GNDs have far much better use for sunsets . I would suggest you take a grad .9 hard or soft or reverse grad to start. For daytime landscapes with sky present and when the sun is high I have made great use of polarizers. 10+ years with Canon, now new fresh air with Sony Full Frame
