Very good picture.

Do you notice a color cast when stacking the singhray reverse grad with additional ND filters?
I have the same effect with formatt filters and was considering the singhray but if you get the same colorcast - no need to spend more money..

To be honest, i had that bad colorcast with my Hitech [Formatt?] filters, less with LEE but still there, i don't have Singhray square/rectangular filter except the reverse one, but i found about Haida and bought some of their glasses filters and also a 3rd party brand and i just stocked out their last pieces of 2/3/4 stop GND filters glass and they are so perfect high quality, no color cast at all no matter what, so i found out that with glass filters i can solve many problems, the only 2 cons with glass filters are:

1. Price, but Haida and that 3rd party filters prices where adequate and i was happy
2. Easy to break if dropped or strong/heavy impact, but even the resin may break with that big heavy impact/dropping.

Thanks.

I have the lee filters and they give me no color cast, especially the GND ones. The big stopper is known for its blue cast but thats easy to fix.
The problem is with the RGND, when stacking with an additional ND/CPL.
I have this problem with color casting with the formatt filter..
Just using the RGND has no color cast..

I stack 2-3 filters with my new ones glass and no color cast, if you have each with no color cast of each then how you get color cast when you stack them all together?

Oh wait, i don't have RGND other than Singhray resin one and i never used it, but i am thinking to sell it while it is still new unused or unsealed even only taken out of the pack and go with a glass version of it and see.

As i say, formatt filters i have they all have color cast when stacked with other filters, and i said even LEE has that when stacked with others, and i meant any LEE filters not just GND, but even ND including Big stopper, but Haida ND filters said to be better than LEE big stopper, little warmer but still less color cast than Big Stopper, i am sure you see comparison reviews here and there.

The color cast in the RGND from formatt comes from the long exposure. I think it's the fact that they don't block the IR component and this is why we get the magenta color cast.
When we add a ND filter, we increase the IR coming through the filter.. and the RGND looks to be more prone to color casting.

I have the formatt IRND filters and they have no color cast, even the 16 stop filter has no color cast which is amazing, but those are thick glass filters.
The reverse grad is amazing and really gives me great sunset/sunrise pictures, but that damn color cast!!!

There is a solution but sometimes i feel i am very lazy and others are more active than me, now i feel i am doing good job in searching and finding something if available, so will this be a solution for you then?

I may buy one later in the future, if you do before me then let us know about your impression.

I like what I see, but they are showing tests on GND, but marketing the GND.

LEE GND filters don't give me color cast either.. and they are very well made and no SO expensive..

The problem is with the RGND. A friend might get the singh-ray and we can do a comparison of the color cast and performance.

Good, in all cases, if i will buy from eBay i will contact the seller and check out if they are selling just GND or RGND, and if the one they demonstrate/show is exactly the one they will sell, otherwise it will be misleading and fake advertise and with feedback it may affect their reputations, and i still have Singhray RGND filter that i never used yet, but i still believe in glass over resin no matter which brand it is.

I would definately like to see your pictures with that.

I would also like to see some singh-ray pictures with the one you have :)

I am planning to sell this Sighray without opening or unsealing it so i can keep its value high enough, and with the sale money i will see how much left to buy a glass version, believe me, the glass will be slightly better than resin, and i bought Haida filters from eBay and they all are great, even the GND from 3rd party Chinese were much better than LEE/Hitech/Singhray GND filters.

I hope i can sell my Hitech/LEE filters that i currently have so i can buy more filters of Haida or NISI or equivalent and never look back, i think even LEE glass filters are great but very expensive, and after using Big Stopper i think i shouldn't be mislead about big name quality only, Haida and NISI did a great job to bring some filters to markets, and there is another 3rd brand also having filters, i think glass filters is not that hard to make compared to resin, and they said it is Schott glass so this is end of story then.

Looks great.

The only issue is when stacking - try adding a 10 stop ND to that, and see if you get color cast.
I get a definite magenta cast when stacking. No cast when used by itself.

I think i have to wait another 4-5 months to try again, i hope in this period i buy more filters, most importantly to buy a filters holder for my Tamron first, then i can give test for my filters.
