We all talk some pretty big talk about post processing. What is "post processing?" Does it include raw conversion? Does it ever end? If we define post processing to influence applied by a computer to the image after the initial capture, via a digital camera or scanner, then what are the "pre processing" techniques that are employed as you go about your photography? By this, what steps do you actively take to influence the final product? What I'm wondering is, are there things that you do, that nearly guarantee a great shot. Pre processing. It could be something as simple as fitting a CP to your lens for a sky shot. Tell us what you do. Feel free to add opinions about the earlier questions, or anything else that seems relevent.
