Here are 2 shots from a 1 year old photo session I did. Would love to hear any feedback. I also posted these 2 shots in the 70-200 photo sharing section, but I wanted to post them here to get feedback. I hope that is ok.

I think that when you look at the histogram or in ACR at the over-exposure indicator that there'll be a few blown out bits in both images: in the first one on the girls dress and in the second on on the food bowl. May be they are still recoveralbe. Other than that: nice shots with good exposure on the (lovely - and that helps also :) ) subject and good focus and bokeh.
May be crop the first one just a tad tighter?

^ ^ I agree. I'd crop #1 a lot tighter. Great expressions, though!

I love the shot, but agree with the others about cropping it tighter to allow your subject to dominate the image. I'd also tilt the tree back a little so she doesn't look quite as off kilter. Since you allow image editing, I took the liberty to do a quick edit to show the result of the changes that I suggested.

Sorry Bob, I think your crop is too tight. There must be something remaining of the idea: "Little girl exploring the big forest...". In your crop that space gets lost.

Each of us is entitled to our own opinions, but the OP said it was a photo session of a little girl, so I think the little girl is the subject and should dominate the image. If the session was for a "Little girl exploring the big forest...", I think it would still need to be cropped, but to a lesser extent.

I think as far as cropping goes, that's pretty much up too the person that shot it because many times like mentioned there is a story that is trying to be told, life style type shooting. I pretty much do all lifestyle, of my grand children.

Anyway, I think the photo's are adorable! It does appear to have a few hot spots, but nothing serious and I am betting you could bring those down just a tad in lightroom if you have it.

My personal opinion on the top as far as cropping goes, it could be cropped a bit more on the top just to remove some of the tree trunk more so it doesn't dominate the whole picture, but that's just personal. I am sure whoever this child belongs too though will love these photo's.

If these are seen by local parents you should be prepared for many child shoots.

Great shots, bet the parents loved them! Cropping is personal choice, but I'd also try a landscape orientation on the first, with her face near the RoT intersection top left. That leaves enough green space to the right to keep the "peeking around a tree" feel, but gives more attention to the subject. And that also helps lose some of the foreground that doesn't add a lot. Such a great moment, well done!

While I love the expression in the first image, I think the flash was overdone... way too bright and the impact on the foreground and tree is overwhelming.
