I have been using it for a while now. Great program with lot of cool features. I have never used their collages feature, but here is a section of the help file describing how to create a photo collage:
Create a photo collage
A photo collage is a collection of picturesGeneral term refers to a single photo or a composite project on the canvas. that you can arrange and print on a single sheet of paper. Digital Image provides a broad selection of collage templates to choose from, and you can print in portrait or landscape orientation. If you have more pictures than will fit on one page, you can choose to print multiple pages.
---------------
To create a photo collage:
Open all the pictures that you want to use in the collage.
On the File menu, click Create a Photo Collage.
Choose the orientation for your collage (portrait or landscape) and click the collage template that you want to use.
Click Next.
Arrange pictures in the collage.
Drag pictures from the Files palette to the collage, arranging them as desired in the picture frames.
To fill every frame in the collage by repeating the same picture, click a picture in the Files palette and then click Fill with the selected picture
To insert all of the open images in the Files palette into the collage, click Fill with all pictures. One copy of each picture will appear in the collage, but this method can result in unused pictures (if there are more pictures than available collage frames) or empty frames in the collage (if there aren't enough pictures to fill the collage).
To add more pictures to the collage, click Open more pictures. After opening more pictures, drag them into the collage.
Optional: Adjust the pictures in their collage frames.
For the best overall fit, click a picture in the collage and then click Crop to fit. The picture is cropped to fill the entire frame, so some portion of the picture might not appear in the finished collage.
To fit the entire picture in the frame, click a picture in the collage and then click Scale to fit. This ensures that the entire picture will appear in the collage, though there might be white space around its edges.
To change the size or position of a picture, click a picture in the collage and then click Let me adjust it manually. Use the picture controls to move, size, and rotate the picture as desired.
Optional: Add additional pages to the collage.
If you need more than one page to display all of your pictures, click Add another page.
In the Add Page dialog box, indicate where you want the new page to appear. To duplicate all of the images from the first collage page in the new page, under Copy Content, click Yes. Click OK.
Use the Previous and Next buttons at the top of the screen to view different collage pages.
Optional: Tweak the collage with advanced options.
Click View advanced options. This allows you to modify the bleedA technique of increasing the printable area so that the picture border is reduced or eliminated. and fine-tuneAn option that allows you to reposition a picture on the page by making small adjustments to the horizontal or vertical placement. options.
Select the Bleed edges check box to change the bleed value.
Enter a value between 0 and -.125 in Vertical and Horizontal. This increases the border size of each collage picture by up to .125 inches.
Select the Fine-tune check box to enable fine-tuning.
Enter a value between .5 and -.5 in Vertical and Horizontal. By default, the collage is centered on the page, but this setting changes the position of the collage on the page by up to .5 inches.
Click the Back arrow.
When the collage is complete, click Done. The collage will appear in Digital Image, ready to be saved, printed, or edited.
Note
The first time that you try to print multiple pictures on a page or print on both sides of a paper, Digital Image may perform a short print test to determine how paper should be loaded in your printer. If you later find that pictures are printing on the wrong side of the paper or with an incorrect orientation, reset the printer settings and Digital Image will repeat the print test the next time you need to print. To reset, click Options in the Tools menu, then click Reset printer paper feed settings.
