That's a very calm piece of water there. How about posting an image at the forum's 800px limit so that we can appreciate the photo better?

Bumped it up to 800 wide, thanks for the suggestion.

Were you using a very wide angled lens? It looks like there's a slight curve to the photo.

I quite often visit the Vero Beach area of Florida as I have an aunt that lives there. Which part of Florida as you in?

I was using a 28-135 IS at 28mm. I think most of the curve is the landscape itself.

I am between Orlando and Tampa, about an hour NW of Vero. We usually get frost 3-4 times per year. I was hoping to shoot some iced up oranges, but a traffic accident kepe me from making it down to the late harvest groves. I caught this on the way back home.

I've been there when frost has been expected, and been somewhat bemused about the orange groves having heaters to ward off the frost. BTW, I love the little bird that you've caught in silhouette at the bottom of your photo.

If you are looking for good nature photos, I reccomend Lake Louisa State Park and Lake Tibet-Butler Preserve, both close to the attactions. What part of Orlando? On the NE side thee is Blue Springs State Park. If you are into birds, do a google search for the Florida Birding Trail. Also, you will an hour to the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic. Let me know what you are looking for and I will be happy to make some suggestions.
